Should Businesses That Are Open Be Required To Inform Us If They Had Anyone Working For Them That...

tested positive for Covid-19, was sent home because they have Covid-19 or had an employee die as a result of the virus.

I'm talking about the grocery stores, pharmacies, big-box stores, etc - that we're still allowed to shop at.

I would like to know this information before I decide whether or not to visit an establishment. I don't want one of these establishments to potentially expose me to the virus. If I had this info - I might choose to go elsewhere.

Has anyone else thought about this?

On Rachels show last night she showed the Sioux City paper where they were fighting back against Governor by printing the names of businesses that had infected employees. It isn't just the meat plant. And they were letting people know how bad it is.

...I think the establishment should be able to get some kind of certification from local health officials that the employee and employees have been quarantined, the establishment sanitized according to health standards, and the establishment shutdown for 14 days.

I certainly agree with us needing to be informed, but I think there should be a way for the establishment to show that it has addressed the issue.

Again, all this would be so much easier with accessible testing. SMH.

...we already know that they practice sanitizing precautions suggested by health experts. My suggesting of closing down establishments were based on time enough for the staff to quarantine. I would imagine if a business could afford to prove sanitizing standards and ensuring proper quarantine it would make sense.

You asked a good question.

we can set stricter standards for an essential business than we can for a hospital. Frankly, a hospital is the last place I'd want to be right now.

I’d be shocked if not. Besides medical personnel, they are most vulnerable.
