Wear your flotation device even if you are young and strong!!

For more than 24 hours, law enforcement first responders have been on the river here looking for the body of a young man whose kayak overturned yesterday.

The family waits on the shore.

He was not wearing a flotation device.

Divers have had no luck.

The search continued well after dark last night and resumed this morning.

No luck still. It didn't have to happen. He was strong and athletic. It wasn't enough.

Kids had PFDs and they got out, but the dad almost didn't make it due to hypothermia.
