as a form of bragging.

As if such a low number was proof of anything other than Trump's incompetence.

We just don't know how much higher.

Some states and private labs don't report negative tests. And in most places, most tests are negative.

Some private labs don't report positives, either. 278k? Dunno.

As others said it’s not 4 million and it’s a big country.

Are we doing enough tests to accurately project infection rates by state and county across the country? How many tests but also are they distributed enough to do that?

When restrictions are eased eventually or too soon we’ll need to continue testing to know if it is spreading too quickly again and to do quarantine and contact tracing

Boasting about 4 million with zero context tells me he has no plan whatsoever.

And why should he have one. If it works out no problem. If it doesn’t work out there will be another wave and some chaos. That means there will be money to make.

Either way trump wins.

positive rate because we are only testing the most symptomatic in the current criteria for testing doing a lot of tests is nothing to brag about it essentially means we are dealing with more cases of infection
