The food lines are staggering. The stories of people waiting in line 24 hours ahead to ensure they get a bag. Food banks pleading for donations.
Doctors and nurses pleading and actually begging for protection to save their very lives while they care for the sick and dying.
Front line workers having to demand protection to keep the supply chain going.
So many dying.... this is just horrendous and terrible on so many levels.

It’s difficult to understand what is the hell motivates a supposed human to allow these things to continue when there are things that can be done to alleviate some of the suffering.

There is no higher standard deduction. It did go up from $5600 to $12000 for a single person, but prior to the tax overhaul each taxpayer had a Personal exemption of $5000 or so, but no longer does. We're paying more taxes. If you look at the historical rate of charitable giving since the new tax law, it's gone down the crapper.

I have never loathed anybody so much in my life, and I agree with you about republicans. I will NEVER forgive htem. I am a nurse, and I cannot say that I have been overwhelemed with Covid19 paitents as we have been very, very, very fortunate in San Francisco, as the city was very proactive in placing a shelter-in-place order. Nonetheless, I HAVE seen shortages in PPE, etc, and we would not have survived had we been slammed. I blame every single person who voted for that obvious grifter and liar. One didn't have to be a rocket scientist to know he was going to fuck everything up. It was only necessary to listen to that pussy-grabbing pig for 2 minutes and know that he would collaborate with the rest of the traitors in the repig party to deprive the majority of people in this country what we wanted. It is disgusting beyond words, and it is truly unforgivable.

My parents live in a red state but are big Dems. Most of their friends are pussy-grabber supporters. They just don't understand why I refuse to even go down there anymore. If they want to see me, they will have to meet me elsewhere or come to SF to see me. I am not making peace with ANY repig. I will never, never, never forget this. And one last thing, I do not take kindly to seeing my fellow nurses being mistreated and dying because of these idiots' bullshit. THAT is what I will ALWAYS remember.
