Though GOP strategists feel confident they will see some gains this cycle, the latest fundraising reports out last week painted a bleak picture of their odds of netting the 18 seats needed to recapture the House, particularly with campaigning frozen by a global pandemic.

(22,114 posts)cronies are running out of seemingly valid excuses, if anything, excuse after excuse after excuse after excuse gets really old, doesn't it? The Senate is AWOL, in both dealing w/ a lying president and doing its duty to the Country (besides 'tax cuts' (is this all the Senate republicans know?)).
If anything, this shows just how grossly incompetent rump and the Senate republicans were in passing the 2017 tax cut and jobs bill. Didn't work, did it? It didn't build the economy into a powerhouse with tons of staying power. It didn't create a whole mass of new tax revenues (from all of the increased business generating new tax revenues, as promised by the republican Senate).
Witness, the numerous missteps by rump and his administration, upon the first appearance of the CV, causing the collapse of the Markets, once the Markets saw what rump's response would be (a big fat ZERO). The Markets crumbled into a spineless mass of jelly, with little staying power.
