Steven Mnuchin wanting most if not all US economy open later this summer. ANOTHER STOCK PUMP & DUMP

Steven Mnuchin wanting most if not all US economy open later this summer. ANOTHER STOCK PUMP & DUMP

Anyone wondering why the stock markets are so volatile these days part of it is this crap; the Trump admin and their BS assessments of CV19 economy.

Look

Unless there's a federated effort to get testing and PPE supplies so the US can do around 500k test a day (we're currently at 150) or around 1 - 2% of population a week we're going to be stuck with a yo yo effect of people getting sick, local economy stops and people dying.

Right now China is ... PAYING PEOPLE TO BUY CRAP ... locally with "vouchers" (google China vouchers) so no one is rushing to bust a wallet in China because they know people are asymptomatic.

Even If Trump got his crap together and started the testing by end of April it would take a month to ramp up.

I would ... LOVE ... to be wrong on this but who wants to go outside and get infected by this disease when its killing so many people.

Also, look for state levels to get testing supplies to get 500k through put.

It is without boundaries for life and liberty... it's a 6 month sprint to an Election in November..To Win at any costs....They want to balloon the economy at the sacrifice of ground troops/ non essential workers, our elderly and immune compromised ..They want to stop COVID 19 testing and deny any deaths related to COVID . .. Election illusion...

My argument (or one of my arguments) against the idea Trump can "fix the economy" is exactly that you can't bribe enough people to take stupid risks. I also severely question the premise of "pent up demand." Just the opposite could happen, where people learn that they can do without many of the things they thought were essentials--and that it's simple, less expensive, healthier, less of a hassle and rather enjoyable.

... tomorrow that fixed everything they can't fix nearly 20% unemployment.

Half what I read through Reuters and AP about the vouchers was it wasn't just the fear of the disease it was people were broke.

Like you said there was no "pent up demand" for anything, people are broke

None of these consumption economies can fix deflation that is going to happen in the next 3 months.

There will be no return to normalcy until there is a vaccine, a cure, or most of the population has already had the virus.

Until then, we'll be in a cycle of increased/decreased risk, and it'll be regional. We can't accurately assess risk without widespread, continuous testing.

The spectre of asymptomatic "spreaders" renders the current practice of testing only those who present symptoms practically useless in terms of assessing risk. We won't have an accurate picture of this thing until there is widespread randomized testing for both the virus and antibodies.

IMO, our current testing practices serve mostly to give the population some sense that something's being done. A sugar pill to calm the masses. Pre-screening makes the assumption that the asymptomatic do not have the virus.
