https://kfor.com/health/coronavirus/gov-stitt-asks-president-trump-to-declare-coronavirus-pandemic-an-act-of-god/Gov. Kevin Stitt sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking him to declare the COVID-19 pandemic an Act of God so the oil and gas industry can receive aid.
Stitt went on Twitter Saturday and shared a letter that he sent Trump.
Stitt said he wants Trump to declare the pandemic an Act of God so that the government can provide aid to help the oil and gas industry and protect the environment.
If I remember correctly the oil and gas industry went into the toilet when Putin and Saudi Arabia started their oil war and SA opened up the spigots to drive down prices.

(28,075 posts)if God is that angry at the oil & gas industry that he sent a plague, I don't think I'd annoy him further by bailing them out.

He put out a list of essential businesses, BUT then said businesses could send a request to become essential. So the states real estate industry asked for real estate agents to be essential and he approved it. Why? Because he owns a title company and a house building company. Sis is a real estate agent and a zillion clients were/are still wanting to go tour strangers homes. Sis opens the front doors and lets her clients go in the homes alone.

Ah, sure, it's an act of God, but it is means to try to get the unholy Republicans out of the way so we can get through this. It's a sign and an omen. LOL!
Ah, wouldn't the correct term be force majeure? He should know that. Oh, wait, but GOD!
