Update: Multiple White House officials tell NBC News this morning that there may NOT be a task force briefing today and that Trump may instead open to the press his 4PM Cabinet Room event with industry executives. (The current WH strategy, I’m told, is to show Trump “at work.”)

Really painted into a corner.

Showing him at work. Showing him involved. But he is so intractable narcissistic. He's going to show as self obsessed and hostile.

He is having one of those table full of people and each one speak up with their praise of Trump and how great he is session. He will be smug. It is a show for "how hard he is at work" and "everyone is singing him praises". There won't be a single question that's asking the truth (against him).

Why must any of these media manipulation propaganda events be televised live? Show up and if anything important comes out of them, report it.
Biden/Democrats need to demand time to respond.
Trump knows free media has value, at a minimum it gives Trump face time and a national audience and a way to manipulate the day's media narrative. If Trump could control himself and stay on script it would be even more to Trump's advantage.

That all officials at the table pass the mic around praising him for how hard he works.

There will be no talk of disinfecting.

.@PressSec says WH "not tracking" a press briefing today for Pres Trump, but reporters will be allowed to cover his meeting at 4pm/ET with industry executives. She says the president will take part in briefings during the week, but says they "may have a new look to them."

to end the daily shitshows / rallies (as opposed to news organizations boycotting).

So what now? Will the WH press corps show up to the fake roundtable "work" sessions, which we already know will consist of endless rethugs kissing trump's ass?
