I'm sick of the constant, never ending stream of bad news since this whole thing started. I just want some kind of sign that things are going to turn around. Just one. I'm not picky.

I read your post about the couple you were with on the cruise. That was so sad.

I am glad you are posting your frustration with this here among people you can trust.

We can, at the very least, acknowledge your experience and show compassion for it.

Do you have anything that inspires or uplifts you that you could turn to right now? Anything different might help you get your wind and gain some composure and strength during this travail. It is a trying time, that's for sure.

You CAN do this, if you want to. It will pass if you can find patience and endure. You are not alone in it.

I am physically okay but have been having nightmares for weeks,

Last night I was screaming in a dream and my sweet golden woke me up with his cold nose. We snuggled tight the rest of the night. It is hard these days.

but the gains are still there, if not apparent right now. Allow yourself some time and hang in there.

I'm sorry about the recent passing of your friend.

and work is down by 90% or so.

But through it all I've survived so far, and my complaints are trivial compared to so many others I've seen.

Hang tough. Vent, vocalize (through text). Internalize to gain motivation for the fall...
Hope is there as long as enough can rest and recharge and then help carry us over the finish line.

Better days are ahead, and the best one is going to be election day and that moment they announce the 46th President of the United States...
