WOW !!! Nothing says "everything's great" like ORDERING Meat packing plants to stay open

Breaking on MSNBC

Now Trump is ordering Meat Packing plants to stay open after hundreds of meat packing employees die.

Oh...

Now Trump will give them liability protection ... JUST WOW !!!

Come to work and die or you're fired !!

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-28/trump-says-he-s-issuing-order-for-tyson-s-unique-liability

Trump signaled the executive action at the White House on Tuesday, saying he planned to sign an order aimed at Tyson Foods Inc.’s liability, which had become “a road block” for the company. He didn’t elaborate.

The order, though, will not be limited to Tyson, the person said. It will affect many processing plants supplying beef, chicken, eggs and pork.

Are the Diet Coke bottlers doing OK? He needs them, unless they made a strategic storage shelf just for him.

There is a CO2 shortage, you know. It is getting worse and will affect brewerys, soda makers and water filtration plants, etc.

How Friggin Stupid! Folks, this Virus has attacked itself to any Meat that has been anywhere near a Contaminated Person. Souix Falls Plant had Eleven Meat Inspectors test positive and in Quarantine. These inspectors touch each and every meat Carcass or Primal Cut that passes in front of them. And as we now know, the Spores will travel via airborne movement for more than 30 feet.

Do not be fooled by the Trump and Corporate people.

...or completely immunize companies from liability.

This will be the new ground for real safety and health provisions in workplaces.

That would be the very Republican thing to do.

Endangering the lives of thousands of workers with no political voice so deplorables can get their nails done and have steak on their table would also be a very Republican thing to do.

The liability thing is just Trump and the GOP being assholes to labor and possibly the consumer. Liability exists to keep producers honest. If an employee fails to follow established protocols, then the liability lies with the employee. If the employer is negligent then the liability is theirs. That is how business is supposed to work. Trump doing anything to decrease the liability of the producers is just going to be a further slap in the face to labor and more danger to consumers.

If President Obama were doing this 1. There wouldn't be any "liability" discussion, though I am sure the Federal government would be assisting producers with gear and solid guidelines.

The problem is the Trump is stupid and corrupt. What he sees are more problems for his re-election, that is all. He is going to do this in a way that takes responsibility away from himself and the big businesses and shifts the burden onto the workers and the consumer. That is just what he does and why I say that while this is probably necessary, he is going to fuck it up and it is going to be another disaster.

I have had more and less trust in government over the years. There have been times, even when either Party has been in power where I have not fully trusted government. With this idiot in charge of the administration and one chamber of Congress led by McConnell, the other worst person on the planet, I have NO trust in the Federal Government at all.
