My guess: she thought sabotaging Al would enhance her chances in the Primaries. Perhaps supporting Biden will enhance her chances for a spot in his Administration, or so she thinks.

Are we just supposed to blame the one senator who has fought relentlessly for women suffering abuse in the military.

Do you really think that Gillibrand is so powerful she forced the senate majority leader to threaten Franken into resigning and coerced Bernie Sanders into calling for his resignation

will not let it go. Gillibrand was hardly alone in asking for Franken’s resignation. The dead-enders act as if Franken’s resignation was the defining event in their lives. It’s pathetic

Is those who are completely able to see the gaslighting going on with Biden, but were somehow totally oblivious when it came to Franken, because it was politically expedient at the time to throw him over. And Gillibrand, who was one of those people, took the lead and was the star of the show. It's as simple as that.

This is a false equivalence all day long

Franken's primary accuser was Roger Stone's buddy and her story did not pass the metric for sexual assault, but DAAAAAAAAMN are there people who just "forget" that.

Her story was that they were doing a skit for a stage show and that he insisted on a kiss and she didn't want to, but relented and agreed to the kiss.

NO. SEXUAL. ASSAULT.

The next was a lady who said he grabbed her ass during a photo shoot at a fucking state fair. She has the pic of them smiling from the front...there are clearly people in back of them. Not ONE corroborating witness...at all.

Hell the fuck to the no.

Then they tried to pull the same shit in VA with both the Governor and the Lt Governor. Thank GOD they told 'em to go packing.

Nice try. No dice.

Your outrage is more appropriately aimed at the much larger group of Democratic senators who were on board. She's just a convenient scapegoat.

and gaslighting that she wasn't....is just that...gaslighting.

And while she was indeed the leader of it (contemporaneous posts during the time will reveal how much) each and every one who jumped on that bandwagon should be ASHAMED of themselves for falling for Roger Stone's sucker bet.

Hopefully Biden will win, Klobuchar becomes part of his administration, and Franken is appointed to take her spot in the Senate and all is water under the bridge.
