I can see the looks on their faces as Trump threw them right under the bus on national television, ABC.
"What I did, was I said, against many people, including Anthony Fauci who I like very much, including Deborah who I like very much, the doctors, and many other people, they said 'Don't ban China, it's going to blow over" and they said this at the end of February.
Go to the 12:10 mark in the video below:
He goes on, "At the same time, I want to be optimistic, I don't want to be Mr. Gloom and Doom."

(6,110 posts)As soon as he banned incoming travel from Wuhan on Jan 31st, the next day he should have had the balls to ban ALL incoming Europe and Asia.
That would have saved thousands of deaths on east coast and all over. But he waited another week or so to ban Europe. Leaders have balls, politicians don't.

36% trust Trump, 60% trust Dr. Fauci.
The video below profiles Dr. Fauci and how often he warned us over the years how devastating a virus can be.

(90,764 posts)them it's not so bad and that none of it is his fault anyway.
He blames the dead for being weak and making him look bad.
He thinks the unemployed should have been born rich. So it's their fault, not his.
Trump believes:
Running out of money? Loser.
Running out of food? Loser.
Facing homelessness? Loser.
But be sure to smile while you die. It's all about the optics.

In The Art of the Deal, Trump describes Roy Cohn, his personal lawyer, in the warmest terms, calling him the sort of guy whod be there at your hospital bed . . . literally standing by you to the death. Cohn, who in the fifties assisted Senator Joseph McCarthy in his vicious crusade against Communism, was closeted. He felt abandoned by Trump when he became fatally ill from aids, and said, Donald pisses ice water. Schwartz says of Trump, Hed like people when they were helpful, and turn on them when they werent. It wasnt personal. Hes a transactional manit was all about what you could do for him.
If Putin wanted Trump to be elected, his people didn't do thorough research on him. Trump would nuke them in a heartbeat if he felt scorned.
Edit: To extremely cynical people, who think everybody is secretly a self-centered prick, Trump probably seems GENUINE. It's mostly a reflection of themselves, and they view people demonstrating kindness and cooperation with distrust.
