... Trump and .. Biden are in a dead heat among Texas voters, according to a new poll from the University of Texas at Tyler and The Dallas Morning News.
The poll conducted last month posed questions to 1,183 registered Texas voters. Of those who responded, 43% said they would choose Trump and 43% said they would choose Biden, on Election Day, which is less than six months away. Another 9% said they were undecided.
Dallas Morning News political writer Gromer Jeffers told Texas Standard it was hard to tell if this poll, which showed support dropping for Trump in Texas because of the presidents response to the coronavirus, or merely because less attention is being paid to the election, due to the pandemic ...

How on earth can a person be 'Undecided" in these dark times!?! What are the chances that most of the "9%" are too shame-faced to admit they're Trump voters?

(205,319 posts)I couldn't agree more! I used to think those clueless enough to support Trump were those who paid no attention to the news - but these days during a national (and international!) pandemic, not one person can be that unaware!

(56,828 posts)because if Donny has to spend resources in Texas, he'll have less money and time and fewer people to spend in Florida, NC, WI, MI and PA. Not to mention Nevada and Minnesota.

In this case, it is essential to know that the poll was a Texas poll.
