Russia's coronavirus treatment miracle :sarcasm:

Until now, Germany was the standout in continental Europe
168,168 cases, 7275 reported deaths.

UK, Spain and Italy have posted the most deaths.
France, No 4. Has reported 174,194 cases and 25,809 deaths.

Russia is overseeing a miracle. Leaping ahead on cases, 177,160
while yugely saving lives - only 1,625 deaths, the lowest rate in Europe.

It's enough to make Russian doctors jump for joy,
or out a window.

I saw a 6 minute spot on CNN about Russia, with video.
The hospitals are SWAMPED.
People are dropping like flies.
The video showed 6 people, in dreadful shape, quarantined in a storage closet.
I'd say, multiply their number by 5, then add a zero at the end!

I believe your estimate is much closer to the truth, Professor!

I'd read an article a month or so ago, which indicated most of Russia's hospitals are not equipped to handle isolations. Dynamics sich as no running water, broken ventilation systems, etc. were cited.

I cannot recall the source, but I only read from credible sources.

Very sad for the patients.

They were already hell. Packed to the ceilings, untreatable TB infections ... I bet they have a 100% infection rate in prisons.

4. Russia's numbers are bollocks, but there are some Euro states with lower deaths per million
Thu May 7, 2020, 08:01 AM

granted some are very small

some may have reporting issues as well

some are partially in Europe

the numbers I trust are in bold

Albania (they are close to joining the EU and have vastly improved transparency)
Malta
Latvia

Ukraine
Slovakia
Azerbaijan
Kazakhstan
Georgia
Faeroe Islands
Gibraltar
Vatican City
Greenland (technically not part of Europe, but it is part of Denmark, despite Rump's insane plan)

I was going to write of any comparable European country. Of the nations with numbers you trust, few are much more than prinicpalites

6. total population of the nations I listed above is almost 90 million people
Thu May 7, 2020, 09:03 AM
May 2020

Albania 3 million
Latvia 2 million
Ukraine 44 million
Slovakia 5.5 million
Azerbaijan 10 million
Kazakhstan 19 million (world's largest landlocked country, and the ninth-largest country in the world by area)
Georgia 4 million

are not micro states (

Malta (EU member) is half a million, an ancient yet advanced (in many ways) place, densely populated, and still has a low rate of death, and is one of the better-managed countries COVID-19 wise

EU expects Malta's economy to return to pre-pandemic levels by next year

Commission forecasts lesser impact for Maltese economy than EU average

12. one of the hardest nations on the planet to get actual citizenship
Thu May 7, 2020, 10:15 AM
May 2020

I have a co-worker (much older than I am, and is Brasilian-raised Swede/Norse/Danish, from a CRAZY background) whose sister dated a total shitbag banker (worth tens of millions) from Switzerland who dumped her for a Liechtensteiner, married that girl, and tried for over 10 years to get citizenship (for tax purposes) and failed. We met her sister, who ranted on about it for what seemed damn near 2 hours after my wife (despite our urging not to do so, as she is a troublemaker, lol) prised it out of her. Zero chance she was bullshitting, as she apparently is still obsessed with the whole thing and had a shedload of evidence she unfortunately shared with all of us who had not wandered off by then.

Those two women's family history is BONKERS (father's side came from a grandfather who was a Swedish/Danish Nazi collaborator engineer (ended up in Berlin working with Albert Speer ffs) who escaped to Brasil via the rat-lines, and mother's side came from a christian evangelical grandfather (Swedish/Norwegian) who left Norway and started what I would call a christian cult in Brasil that is now massive in size. The sister is a huge gold-digger, who ended up dating one of the richest men in Brasil, after the banker dumped her, but that bloke dumped her too, as his family did not accept her because she was not only not Jewish, but her grandfather was an actual, fairly high-powered Nazi, and they found out somehow, SMDH.

Jewish and her grandfather was an high-powered Nazi. Now that's a winning combination

As for Liechtenstein - wow - there are few countries on earth that would turn up their noses at Swiss royalty (multi-millionaire bankers).

'The wife' "is a troublemaker, lol". Now THAT does not surprise me!

Take care Celerity, in virus 'liberated' Sverige and all

10. Well, if you "fall" out of a window, the cause of death won't be the virus.

On a side note, you would think the windows in Russia would all have some sort of guard or bars on them.

14. Russia is recording deaths differently.

If patients die from pneumonia, they attribute death to pneumonia, rather than covid. Which easily explains low death rates.
