This won't gratify him. He needs to see the frenzied, accepting faces of his acolytes echoing back and reacting to his words. He needs those screaming, spitting faces. He won't experience the approval he craves through windshields. But he might try it anyway, because he's probably too dumb to know why he loves holding rallies.

This is my concern. Trump loves being in front of crowds. His campaign is going to get him in front of crowds somehow. Biden's camoaign need to evaluate how to hold safe rallies, one method would be a large open space with anyone entering wearing a properly worn mask. I am afraid that if Trump's campaign figures the rallie issue out and Joe is still homebound, Trump is going to hammer Joe for being weak and afraid (not correct, but Trump doesn't care about that, optics are everything for him).

We can't be blind to the optics of his crowds, that worked to his advantage in 2016, he was doing 3-4 stops per day, while Hillary did maybe 2. Our nominee can't let Trump appear to be out working him on the campaign trail.

The optics of him out drawing crowds of any type will be powerful if Joe is staying sequestered at home.

I am sure that if he told MAGATS that they won't be allowed in without masks, they will gladly wear masks, totally ignoring their past behavior. I believe that where this is headed is that Trump and his fans will realize that not wearing masks is a dumb idea and they will latch on to it as if they invented the idea during the Fall campaign.

They'll hold what, 200-300 cars? Well, screw that! we'll let in 500! Double-parked, triple-parked, parked sideways on the access drives, frontwards, backwards, mostly pick-em-up trucks with gen-u-wine Easy Rider shotgun racks and a cold case of beer in the back, sheet YEAH!

And when it's over and everyone is bumping into each other trying to find the exit, the drooling mob can get in some much-needed target practice shooting out each other's tires! Fun for all! Bring the family!

And while they're waiting for the Main Attraction, he can even make a buck or two by opening up the concession stand! (Let's all go to the lobby!) Selling MAGAt hats, ammunition, and hydroxychloroquine!
