Nixon caught a whole ration of shit over those uniforms - they looked like marching band uniforms or something out of a Gilbert & Sullivan operetta, and after the laughing subsided the uniforms disappeared. Trump would like something like that, I'm sure, only with more gold, and maybe helmets with spikes like the Kaiser's troops.
