My humble and unorthodox advice to the Biden campaign is...just start governing.

You cannot campaign in the traditional sense. You cannot hold rallies and pose with supporters. So, what do you do? Just start governing. Act like you're the president.

Assemble your own pandemic response team of experienced professionals and detail how you would handle the health crisis.

Assemble your own economic team to and detail how you would handle the economic crisis.

Hold a virtual joint press conference with the governors.

Hold a virtual joint press conference with African American leaders.

Hold a virtual joint press conference with progressives like the squad.

Hold a virtual joint press conference with seniors.

Schedule these events every day.

Contrasting your steady leadership with Trump by doing these daily sessions which show how you would govern will provide reassurance that there is a return to normalcy.

Imagine that Biden's medical expert devises a plan to accomplish X. It is hailed as a great plan.

Trump won't do it even if X is a critical need.

Almost all of them especially dems are trying to be nonpartisan and just helping the people during this crisis. Most dems especially in mid country have to fight the Weirdos protesting and adding anything that looked like campaigning wouldn’t help.

that he had set up a counter press conference to idiot's daily so called 'press conferences' is why I thought this.

Thing is, w/ the way rump is in grabbing ideas and claiming them for his own, I wouldn't advertise 100% of what one would do and if one does advocate a plan/course of action/etc., make sure to document the heck out of it so rump can't swoop in and claim the credit. I'm sick and tired of him claiming everything from landing men on the moon all of the way to curing cancer (trump).

All I really care about is to get rump out of office, as soon as possible. Grossly incompetent in the performance of his duties as well as the Senate, who as we know, rand had to rib Dr. Fauci in that he was not the 'cure all' or something like this. Is rand jealous or something, because they didn't go to rand and consult him on infectious diseases or what?

out .

I'm not sure if people really need that many specifics other than to keep aware of him and just show them he is keeping up with things . They don't need specifics . those who are actually interested in specifics will search it out themselves and are mostly those who are already decided .

The rest just needs a general view of him as the best choice to be President . Just some TV ads of him in meetings and just looking like he is doing serious work would help.

As for the dreadful, dreadful ethical and political mistakes of posturing publicly as an illicit "president:"

We the People elect officials from among us to govern of, by and for us. There's obviously more than one way to destroy a democracy, and for sure Putin would be delighted with a move like this, but Biden won't be assisting in destroying confidence in ours.

A pretender to the presidency who publicly attempted to "govern" without being elected wouldn't even need a bunch of press conferences (!). Just one or two announcing this virtual sedition would explode politically. There would be press coverage, all right, but not the kind imagined.

But on the plus side, the presumptive Democratic nominee, widely expected to become president, unofficially offering in a time of great national disaster a sort of pre-coordination through discussion, suggested guidance, and information about what he will be doing as president to ELECTED officials to consider now, is a WHOLE different matter.

VP Biden is already doing that, both directly himself and through potential future appointees to high offices who would be working with the people they're talking with now. Quietly, legally, ethically, and without dangerous national outrage and disruption that would benefit Repub-Russia's destructive goals.

Governors might be a bit busy? Community leaders?

They all need results now, and ongoing, not pretend plans backed with NO power, at least till sometime in Jan 2021.

The next Administration should look to FDR for guidance. We will probably be in very bad straits in many parts of the country, by the time the election rolls around.

During and just after the Spanish Civil War, the republican opposition legal government held a government in exile complete with a diplomatic corps. This is what we democrats need to have.

Go to his web page and other social media. He's been all over the place there. As for a "virtual press conference", it's up to the press to attend them.

In fact, he'll be having a round table discussion on the COVID response with some of the governors at 3:30 today.
