figuratively trying to clean the slime off me from these Rethug Bastards that perhaps the plan is to cause so much death and disruption that Trump can declare martial law prior to the election. Perhaps the idea is in fact to kill more people, doubling down so to speak. From a cost/benefit analysis standpoint, economically theyll come out ahead if the quarantine is lifted and the weak are eliminated, particularly if theyre from blue states.
It would benefit the RW PTB immensely, save a Trump from losing and inevitable indictments, and maintain the a Rethug Senate which would include placements on SCOTUS. You think this hasnt occurred to them? Think again.

It only make sense that people who take more risks are more likely to die.
Wisconsin is 50/50, despite our reputation. Lifting the "safer at home" order makes Repulicans more likely to die and make us a Dem majority state.

(22,794 posts)Trump certainly might take advantage of this crisis to declare martial law and hold on to power. But he didn't plan it that way. First of all, he had no idea what a pandemic could do to the economy and his election chances. He thought he could tough out a few thousand deaths by pretending it wasn't happening and he had everything under control. I doubt he fully realizes even now what is happening in the country. He gets his "information" from Fox News and sycophantic opportunistic "advisors." He is clueless and not interested in getting a clue.
He's a psychopath and they thrive on chaos. It's all they know. He has no impulse control, no logical thought process and not a clue how to plan anything.

He's like one of those people who cannot retain memories of anything for more than a few minutes, which is why he so easily says utterly contradictory things even within the same sentence.
