WASHINGTON Five sailors on the U.S. aircraft carrier sidelined in Guam due to a COVID-19 outbreak have tested positive for the virus for the second time and have been taken off the ship, according to the Navy.
The resurgence of the virus in the five sailors on the USS Theodore Roosevelt underscores the befuddling behavior of the highly contagious virus and raises questions about how troops that test positive can be reintegrated into the military, particularly on ship.

(8,080 posts)There have been reports in other countries, as well, of people getting sick a second time, and dying as a result of the second infection.

(30,820 posts)Positive test results? Yes. Sick a second time? No. (Unless you are talking about how it can go into a lull for a few days and come back in a more severe form; that was established in China. But not sick, gone for weeks, then back and dying.
