Hockey Is Not for Everyone
This piece has been bouncing around the hockey world
for the last few days, so sad that it has to be written in 2020.
Hockey Is For Everyone has been the NHL’s inclusivity slogan for the past several years, this piece deals with Akim Aliu’s story of coming up through the NHL and struggles and racism he faced, shining a bright light on the dark side of the sport many would prefer to sweep under the rug.
Definitely recommended reading even if hockey is not your thing.
