Sweden is still nowhere near 'herd immunity,' even though it didn't go into lockdown

Sweden has revealed that despite adopting more relaxed measures to control coronavirus, only 7.3% of people in Stockholm had developed the antibodies needed to fight the disease by late April.

The figure, which Sweden's Public Health Authority confirmed to CNN, is roughly similar to other countries that have data and well below the 70-90% needed to create "herd immunity" in a population.

It comes after the country adopted a very different strategy to stop the spread of coronavirus to other countries by only imposing very light restrictions on daily life.

Sweden's chief epidemiologist Anders Tegnell said the number was a "little lower" than expected "but not remarkably lower, maybe one or a couple of percent."

That means the virus is not getting to people. If you are open like normal, you’d think the whole country would be close to getting it. Only 7 percent is minisquel. I wonder why the virus is not affecting the Swedish people.

100% no false positives, 99.8% no false negatives Roche antibody test to confirm. We directly know a couple dozen people at least who have had it, none had really bad symptoms, many had none. Age cohort of around 18-45 years of age for our group.

... to have "Covid parties" and the like.

I'm more than willing to part with them if Sweden wants them!

Sweden is a very low population density country (outside of a couple areas) where living alone, moderate social distancing, and deference to government authority are pre-existing parts of the culture.

Whatever is happening there, regardless of what their Dr. Frankenstein epidemiologist is experimenting with this week, is irrelevant to us.

That was NEVER the case, this (that herd immunity was never our strategy) has been stated by multiple officials, including all the top people in the Government (ie the PM and his cabinet) many, many times, and it is simply a projection by news orgs, politicians, and regular people with agendas. It is gaslighting to keep on claiming this. Much of this disinfo came from a simple comment by Karin Ulrika Olofsdotter, the Swedish ambassador to the US who said that Stockholm may reach herd immunity in May. She was simply commenting on some stats, NOT saying that it was policy of any sort. NO ONE in the government or in the state health service ever said we were trying for herd immunity as our main or even lesser objective at all. It is complete bollocks, binary thinking ('oh, if they have looser restrictions they must be going for herd immunity!') and projection/political agendas.

an article on the ambassador and LOOK at the correction they had to make, this how disinfo gets spread
