I don't believe them. GA, TX, FL all, apparently report reduction

in Covid-19 cases.

As the current occupant of the White House said: if you don't test you don't have a case.

So, I just don't believe these Trump states when they open their beaches and restaurants and, the most important of all - tattoo parlors - that their cases are down.

17. Ah ok, worldometers cuts off their counts at 6pm central time

I think they run on GMT. I know our county (Cameron) doesn't usually report the daily figures until right before the 10pm news so they won't show up on today's totals at worldometer. It's also why totals don't line up with the state's HHS numbers, who updates their tally early every afternoon.

The HHS site, while a bit laggy due to its 1pm cutoff, is by far the best source of tracking for the state, you can plot bar charts for a given county, see how many people both overall and per 1000 have tested positive in your county, see the total cases and deaths in nursing homes and assisted living centers grouped by regions, and a lot of other things if you're a data junkie (most of it as at the last tab labeled "Additional data.&quot And as of yesterday they started listing how many antibody tests have been administered statewide.

He does not really care about us in FL, he is only interested in pleasing his dear leader.

5. Unless they are simply not reporting ANY deaths, there have to be death certificates issued.
Fri May 22, 2020, 04:19 PM
May 2020

All you have to do is take any day of the year, for say 5 random years previously, and figure out the average number of death certificates on that day in any given locale.
Then get the number of death certificates for the same day this year. If they’re lying, and I’m 99% sure they are, the death certificates for this year will be higher than the average.

Of course you have to pick a day further back this year than just this week, to allow for lag time in reporting deaths.

14. Texas spent the last 2-ish weeks testing meat processing plants, nursing homes and jails.

So, naturally there was a steep rise in cases.

However, today in Randall + Potter counties (pop 240,000), there were 43 new cases. That is not good. Numbers are still going up but they probably won't spike like they did the last couple of weeks. I pray they won't.
