we’re getting checks since I just want to deposit the money in my checking account. Can you imagine sending some senior citizens the card. I have older relatives who would struggle to work with that. Why is everything so difficult.

Her stimulus check arrived direct deposit.

She 83, hasn't had to file taxes in years.

Everyone I know who e-filed got a direct deposit. I was stunned to see the debit card scheme. What happens if someone steals it in the mail?

I pay taxes and the IRS has my account number on their files since I use it to pay and verified i want it kept on file with them. They mailed me a check a couple of weeks ago. Why? I have no clue, since I met all the metrics to qualify for direct deposit.

Yang was ahead of his time with a UBI concept. If it doesn’t replace the safety net, I like the idea a lot. I don’t expect it to make people rich, but it can help make sure people can afford basic necessities. Right now it should be $2,000 per month, maybe lowered to $1,000 when things are more normal.
