God's law will not be mocked (Fundamentalist COVID parties AKA church services)

Dear fundamentalists:

You claim that God won't allow infection to spread in your in-person church services.

How do you determine which dumbass choices God will exempt you from the consequences of? How do you determine which of God's laws of physics, chemistry, and biology he will suspend to save you from your dumbass choices?

I haven't heard any of you claim that God will exempt you from the consequences of driving 100 mph on Dead Man's Curve. I haven't heard you claim that you can eat bacon at every meal and have cholesterol over 300, and yet God will not allow you to have a heart attack. You don't seem to claim that you can jump off of tall buildings and the sudden stop at the bottom won't hurt you because God freedumb liberty guns her emails.

Yet you assert with absolute certainty that you can gather together in a crowded indoor enclosed space, spewing droplets into the air and inhaling other people's suspended droplets for an hour or two, and God will suspend God's own laws about the fluid dynamics of droplets in air and will suspend the operations of how viruses enter your cells and replicate and will suspend all his laws about transmission of diseases, all in order to justify your holier-than-thou self-righteous pride and your preacher's pious ego and collection plate, to exempt you from the consequences of dumbass behavior.

As some of you sometimes say, God's law will not be mocked. God's laws of physics, chemistry, and biology will not be mocked. Your dumbass behavior and dumbass certainty that God will do what your ego and self-righteousness want him to--those are what mock God's law.

... If you kill a loved one by infecting them or die from being infected in church, well, I've done my part -- it's on you.

5. Magical Thinking

I find that telling fundies that maybe God has decided that humanity needs to take a time out for a little while tends to shut them up.

We live in an age of magical thinking. We've had locusts, a plague, a volcano blowing its top, not one but two comets in the skies, the Anti-Christ who resides at the number of the Beast is in the White House, Venus is in Retrograde, floods, droughts, and famine. God's trying to send them a message, and they are doing their very bestest to ignore it.

8. My paternal grandparents belonged to this christian splinter church like the Xian scientists

My grandfather had a stroke and laid in bed testing God. Would not go to the doctor, would not go to rehab.

Grandmother followed him shortly both to being bed ridden and passing.

While I begrudgingly respected their decisions, I blame the nut who started this little cult. Put my grandparents through suffering that could at least have been alleviated somewhat.

These people don't see science as God's law, even though according to their theology God is the creator of all things and all powerful.

That escapes them or they lie to themselves. They see it as humanism, socialism, atheistic.

Matthew 4:5-11 ERV

Then the devil led Jesus to the holy city of Jerusalem and put him on a high place at the edge of the Temple area.

He said to Jesus, “If you are the Son of God, jump off, because the Scriptures say, ‘God will command his angels to help you, and their hands will catch you, so that you will not hit your foot on a rock.’”

Jesus answered, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’”

Then the devil led Jesus to the top of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and all the wonderful things in them.

The devil said, “If you will bow down and worship me, I will give you all these things.”

Jesus said to him, “Get away from me, Satan! The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God. Serve only him!’”

So the devil left him. Then some angels came to Jesus and helped him.

Some Christians mock God's laws, ignore the teachings of Christ and they do so to bow to worldly politics. They can not be reasoned with just like my Grandparents.

We should let them do as they want, protect yourselves, shun them for your own safety. Let them get ill and/or die. Maybe God is trying to teach them not to mock God's laws and someone close to them is going to have to die to do it.

9. Note the difference in main stream denomination and the bring the rapture now criwd

There really are two approaches to this.

Most mainstream denominations -- Catholic, Discipline of Christ, Presbyterian, Methodist, etc, have encouraged their congregations to continue to worship remotely. My church sends out a YouTube video every Sunday morning. My father in law has a congregation that uses Facebook live with just a small group in the church to perform the service (5 or 6). Our regional and national Minister have told us to worship God without endangering the old, weak, and infirm that Jesus said we should protect. This is typical of most denominations.

Then you have the worshippers of THE RAPTURE...they want us all to die. They don't care about the sick nor the old. They think they will get to a better heaven first. They are like the misguided who twist Islam to believe that killing non-muslins gets you a better heaven. They are our own version of terrorist behavior, more insidious than a car bomb as this disease has a long fuse that kills all kinds of innocent people.

Those religious terrorists do not speak for most Christians and I have no doubt they do not speak for Christ.

by creating him in their own image.

Psalm 115:3 But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
