Conservative Activists Lose Lawsuit That Accused Twitter, Google and Facebook of Censorship
COLIN KALMBACHER May 27th, 2020, 1:06 pm
A federal court dismissed activist Laura Loomers lawsuit against several tech platforms on Wednesday. The complaint alleged a far-flung conspiracy to censor conservative speech.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit added insult to injury by cavalierly noting at the outset that the issues at stake in the original lawsuit do not warrant a published opinion.
In 2018, Loomer and Freedom Watch, a non-profit and right-wing legal advocacy organization founded and run by attorney Larry Klayman, sued Google, Facebook, Twitter and Apple over allegations that the platforms had violated the First Amendment, the Sherman Antitrust Act and the District of Columbia Human Rights Act.
Specifically, the duo alleged that those platforms worked together to intentionally and willfully suppress politically conservative content.
The district court found that the plaintiffs failed to tie [their] concerns to colorable legal claims and dismissed the lawsuit.

(82,849 posts)2. Gee, any coincidence in the timing?
Trump rants about being censored just as the decision in this case is about to come down that says he doesn't have a "colorable legal claim"? Did the administration know ahead of time about this decision and choose the moment for maximum shit-stirring?

going after anyone in town who disagrees with their "leader" or disagree with them on reopening our city. They are nasty, make threats to people. I reported to fb and they said it was not against their standards. I guess threatening public servants like our mayor is not against their rules. With that in mind, go suck eggs conservatives, FB is protecting you.
