I was moving some boxes just now and was in front of the TV where MSNBC was on, of course, and I heard Chuck Todd say, and I would have sworn that he actually said this: I mispronounced your name, that you have two first names, I have the same problem and had to go to a psychologist for that.
I rewound the DVR because Ive never heard Chuck Todd make a self-referential joke before, And certainly not one that might impugn his mental health, and when I replayed it what he actually said was that he apologized instead of the word psychologist. And I literally burst out laughing. I would have sworn that he had made fun of himself if I hadnt been able to replay the tapes so to speak.
I may be hallucinating. Im getting to that point...

(4,941 posts)I'm also hearing impaired and its nice to hear (lol!) other peoples experiences. One of my close friends in NOT sympathetic at all and just gets angry when I ask him to repeat himself or I answer totally off base from what he said. Not sure how much longer that friendship will last.

(65,487 posts)Afterward many told her they'd had no idea how unnecessarily difficult they had made it for her to do her job. Many of my readers also tell me they force friends and family to read the articles.
