(19,956 posts)There's another one too, in case that sometimes that site goes down, https://livenewschat.eu/politics/
I've been using them for a few years, and they usually work great.
If you have an android smartphone or android tablet, there's an app you can download called Mobdro, which has everything, including sports and movies, free. If you do, I can pm you the details. I've been using that for the last 5/6 years.

(2,345 posts)I wish white reporters would be as emphatic in their displeasure.
Wolf Blitzer saying: "It's emotional for me" just rings a little hollow.

Bullshit.

(7,952 posts)frankly bewildered by his unemotional uber professionalism (if that's what you call it). Maybe it's a hard protective shell that can't be penetrated. I watched the first 15 minutes of Cuomo last night and I thought he was going to cry or just scream "Forget it. It's over. I'm done!".

(5,124 posts)I love DL. He has been on fire lately. We are all damn tired.
I understand why people are out there tearing up shit. How much Black Death and pain can you see and not lose your shit? We are dealing with a nation of people with PTSD dammit.
I remember the very first time I watched a video of a young man murdered by police on video. It sent chills down my spine. I still remember it vividly and it was probably almost 20 years ago that I saw that video of Deondre. They sent in a police dog to attack him. Before the dog even got to him, they started shooting, 81 shots, they ended up shooting the dog in their barrage of bullets. They then air lifted the injured dog to try to save the dog while leaving Deondre to die on the scene.. As if firing 81 bullets at a human after you send a dog to attack him was not dehumanizing enough, you take care of a dog before you take care of him. Here we are many years later, and we have seen numerous lives snuffed out on film. Numerous black bodies brutalized and police lie with impunity.
I have cried so many tears for George, Teyona, Ahmaud, Deondre,Sean, Douglas and so many more. As Douglas's sister said recently, white people can kill black people and say that they were scared and get away with it.
If you think that is hyperbole - See Amy Cooper- She knew she could threaten a black man with law enforcement. Why?
There was a time when people didn't even believe these things were happening. Now that there is video evidence, people still look away and make excuses. Why did he run, why did he not stop, why was he talking back to the officer and on and on.
Just how much more of this trauma, can black folks take without losing their shit?
