Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIn 2016, many didn't vote or voted third party so we could burn it all down.
Well here we are.
Thanks.

(58,785 posts)The OP speaks to the responsibility of those who failed to stand against what the Republicans promised -- and have delivered. Absolutely including protecting murder-by-police. You're damned right it was happening before!
Many with good intentions made that dreadful mistake because they were taken in by the massive deceptions blanketing our nation. But now with November 3 coming up, they once again have an absolute duty to understand the situation so they can join the rest of America in rescuing our nation.

(66,487 posts)One of the many idiocies burbled by these people.
Anyone who has ever lived through an earthquake knows what an awful thing it is to have things "shaken up"......

(12,822 posts)If pressed, most of them probably didn't *really* think anything would change, so it was "safe" to vote for an obvious imbecile with delusions of grandeur while professing the lazy political "analysis" that things would be shaken up.
Be careful what you vote for...

(14,861 posts)You seem to be much more angry at people who didn't vote for Trump.
Drunken Irishman
(34,857 posts)I am bothered by people who claim to be left but decided it was fine and dandy to vote knowing that vote was going to help elect a racist like Trump.
Trump voters don't pretend to care.
These third party or non-voting libs pretend to be allies but had no problem sitting by as we pleaded for their support because they wanted to blow it all up.
Again, I say thanks.

(15,325 posts)We won by 3 million votes.
Just 3 states led up to the results we live with today.
We all saw what direction the messaging took.
There's no excusing it & no longer any argument supporting it.
We live with the whipped up ire of a few that led the way. That is written in history forever.
2016 is past. Our democracy is a thread away from collapse.
2020 will decide what direction it takes from there on.
There's no pie-in-the-sky, at best we are wise enough to bring in a team that sees a way out & knows the path to peace.
Sarandon should sit this one out.
This horror show brought down on the American citizens didn't have to happen at all.

(16,539 posts)We knew we could count on the Trump voters to do the wrong thing. That was ALWAYS going to happen. Its those who theoretically were aligned with the Dems who stayed home cuz purity and sour grapes that the poster is talking about.

(11,760 posts)That was kind of obvious from the original post.
When you have a moderate or center left government, you can push it toward the left. When you have a psychotic asshole, you are just bailing water to survive.

If we don't become more united before November we're all fucked. Who cares whether the Bernie Bros are worse than the PUMAs. It's all bullshit if we don't come together soon.

What we are witnessing with Trump is impossible to simply forget how we got here.
Painful as it is, the history has been written, & it can never be changed nor be ignored.
