probably because they don't want to further inflame the situation. Arresting hundreds of people with the current tensions would surely result in casualties. They don't want another Ferguson.

watching the marchers. In DT Minneapolis, they have currently gone down on to I 35 and 94. The leaders spoke with the police and told them the intent is to march peacefully, including that they would go to the interstate.

The police agreed to stand aside and allow the marchers to proceed. They are monitoring the march but will not attempt to stop it as long as it remains peaceful.

by Justin Goeman. He has become the de facto leader of the march. His interactions with the police were live about an hour ago.

The goal of Justin and the other leaders is to get the march into a loop and keep it going all night long.

Channel 9 news has shown the march on the traffic cameras several times.

This group has been amazing at staying focused on the message and avoiding violence

I feel sorry for Justin though, he has been yelling so much to keep it going. He is a natural leader. If I ever meet him I'm going to buy him a megaphone.

that violate the curfew than engage in mass arrests and possible violence (and the terrible optics that would go with it).
