Derek Chauvin's wife says she is devastated by Floyd's death and seeking a divorce

<snip>
The wife of the ex-police officer charged with third-degree murder for the death of Minneapolis man George Floyd says she is seeking a divorce, saddened by the events of the week.

Kellie Chauvin said in a statement that she sends her condolences to the family of Floyd, who died in police custody on Monday. Her husband, Derek Chauvin, restrained Floyd by placing his knee on his neck until he lost consciousness. In a video that went viral this week, Floyd can be heard expressing he can't breathe.

Kellie Chauvin said she is "devastated" by what happened and is filing for divorce from Derek Chauvin.

and kept the knee on the neck for an additional 2.5 minutes after that just to be sure. Let's not pretend the murderer was in any hurry to stop his torture after Floyd became unconscious.

The old boy is going to be making little rocks out of big ones for some time to come. I just hope he has the company of his three co-conspirators in the murder. Prison life will not be much fun for abusive cops.

Shouldn't she have filed last Tuesday instead of waiting until he was arrested?
