Some people in the city are very angry about the significant loss of low income housing. There's been speculation that Bottoms could be the last black mayor for awhile because of all the white people moving to the city.

IMO, she's done a good job while the state houses and governorship are in Repub hands.

In Florida, the expansion of the University of Florida and Florida State University resulted in the surrounding areas becoming vastly bluer, with Tallahassee (Home of FSU and the much smaller FAMU) electing a young Black Mayor.

Anytime a city attracts facilities like biotech development, advanced communications, ect, it is going to get the people that work in those places and want a shorter drive. Gentrification resulted in the Bulkhead area of Atlanta electing a democrat for the first time in many years, so it won't necessarily lead to the end of Black Mayors for the city.

Millenials and low income Atlantans got shafted while developers made out quite well.

We can work out the flavor of Kibbles later.

A ridiculous answer to a less than standup post.
