Those protests turn bad after dark for a reason. The anarchists were organized and mobile. After dark in Minnesota cars without license plates were stopped and the occupants vacated the cars and ran. The cars had loads of rocks, weapons that could be used for bashing, etc. The cars in many cases were stolen. In order to catch these bad actors, it is necessary for legitimate protesters to follow curfews so law enforcement has a better chance of locating and arresting these anarchists. That is all.
