At the Auburn protest, every attendee takes a knee in honor of George Floyd. Police officers joined in the tribute.

when he took a knee during the national anthem.

We should all be thanking Colin Kaepernack for peacefully protesting.

Colin knew his job, and was better at it than tRump will EVER be. Pence flew to a football game, then left immediately once a player knelt. Hypocrites abound in this administration. It was all for show, Mother was with him and it was all paid for by taxpayers. They left before the game even started. I doubt that they really wanted to watch the game, anyway. He is yet another waste of space.

supporters.

Some looting is from folks who do that, small minority maybe of locals but the vast majority of the issues are coming from WHITE supremacists...

BTW , if you are white (as I am) YOU must speak out YOU must act out proactively to say NO MORE...no more.

because of a few bad actors last night in Syracuse. There was peaceful protest all day long with the SPD even escorting protesters through the city to the town of Geddes and back. Night came and things went downhill.

"Tembeckjian and other members of the strike committee, along with the police chief and Chancellor Corbally, quickly convened in Corbally’s office. The group decided the students who constructed the barricades would quickly take them down, the fire department would put out the fire and the students would put the barricades back up. No confrontation would happen.

And it all went according to plan.

“The story of the strike at Syracuse was that it was peaceful and respectful on both sides — students and faculty,” Tembeckjian said. “The barricades episode with the fire department is an emblematic example of how respectful and cooperative the student leadership and the administration of the university were with one another.”"

Odd historical fact Ben Walsh's grandfather Bill Walsh left office at the end of 1969 thus just missing those protests.

Wrong is wrong, and all good people know it! “Riots are the language of the unheard” - we hear you. We need to come together and push all racists, fascists, and sociopaths far away from power.

I’m sure many of you can say the same, but I’m exhausted. Hearing about this and Flint is sooo welcome.

A strong person can handle their self without needing body armor, tactical weapons, logistical equipment, multiple radios, bludgeons/tasers/teargas/"non-lethal rounds".

A strong person doesn't need to be surrounded by a cadre of other trigger-happy anti-social buddies. A strong person can stand alone and talk and reason and negotiate.

Weakness is the sign of a proscripted army of people with low moral compasses who will follow some chain-of-command order to try to placate the "leader".

Weakness is a bully policeman who has no moral compass except his own "whiteness" and is willing to use his official position to club those beneath him, sometimes to death.

I’m cooking potato salad, and trying to post at the same time.

That police chief in Atlanta has done a great job demonstrating leadership. The leaders doing the right thing need to be featured, and celebrated. They help show others how to project strength.

ps...great post!
