Did I hear Blitzer just say CDC is saying that the number of persons with Covid-19 is

24 times the official figure.

DUers have been saying that the numbers are much higher than they're telling us but 24 times?

Stay safe folks - we're in this for the long haul.
Why did Pence never mention masks yesterday/

They're saying the real number of cases MIGHT be much higher than the number we have. All the stories I see are saying it MIGHT be as much as 10 times higher. I don't know where Blitzer would have got 24 from.

Pence didn't mention masks because he cares more about what Trump says than he cares about saving Americans' lives.

5. I'd like to see where these numbers are coming from.

I presume they aren't just making up numbers and throwing them out there for fun. There must be some data, from some sources, and someone is performing some calculations, right? So, I want them to tell us how these numbers were derived!

way higher than trump and repug governors are willing to admit. And since there's no adequate testing and seeing how fast it's spreading now, the high estimates are not out of line.

I heard a 6-24 times higher estimate earlier this morning on CNN and my jaw dropped as I'd only heard the 10 times higher. I just slumped down and realized things are going to be bad for a long time. Back to the normal of five months ago will never come back without a vaccine. And who knows how soon that happens?

3. it's a safe bet that around 1 in 10 Americans

have had or have the virus.

that is around 32 M or almost 16 times the confirmed cases.

Fortunately, the majority of those (but not the vast majority) have passed the infectious stage.

I would guess that right now, especially in TX, FL, CA and other hot spot areas, 1 in 30 or maybe as many as 1 in 25 people you see are currently shedding the virus.

I have gone back into complete isolation mode again (canned food for 30 days at least, medicine, toilet paper, PPE).

Sucks... did this in March... don't want to do it again, but I don't want this virus either... even if it didn't kill me... for those that get a more severe case, it really f's up your body and that will last for the rest of your life

We may never know the true extent of the damage that COVID has actually done. This is going to get really scary.

Depending on how data was evaluated. Even 6 would be a lot, and would suggest a preponderance of very mild or asymptomatic cases
On the other hand, there would be a lot more spreaders of the virus.
