organizers made it clear that masks were required for those participating. Most who attended seemed to have complied with that request.

(I assume that is what the pics are from )

Hard to tell about masks, but there’s definitively not much distancing going on.

the percentage of people wearing masks at protests has been far greater than those wearing masks at the local hardware store. And certainly no comparison to some states. Masks are required when you can't social distance.

Thank you for explaining the science to me. I was not aware that masks nullified the need for social distancing, or that protesting tight up against people wearing masks is safer than being in some states.

I suppose that seems a fair counterpoint to my suggestion that gathering in huge groups during a pandemic isn’t advantageous to slowing the spread of COVID-19.

Well played. And you can’t even see my MAGA hat.

...rather than some kind of mental doublethink to make myself feel better about hypocrisy.

And I’ll go on consistently voting for Democrats, as I have for the last 30 years. A fan of Pence? Fuck you.

When I've attended protests, I've never been 'tight up against people'. And yeah...everyone wearing a mask, is way safer than being out and about in some states. So sorry you dislike protesters, but they're still out there, so maybe you'll get a hot-spot yet.
