It is all 100% just cover his ass

Thinking about the Trump/WH reaction to the alleged Russian bounty intel: He supposedly wasn’t briefed. Nowhere do the WH or DNI or Trump feign the slightest interest in why he supposedly wasn’t briefed, or pretend that Trump is now interested in learning more about the claims or that DNI or WH or Trump are demanding a review or investigation at the failure to brief him. They are not even pretending he wanted to know. It is all 100% just cover his ass.

Is for the purpose of covering his ass.

It’s not like he has the welfare of the American people in mind ... or anything, you know, Presidential ...

There's no explanation the White House can come up with that doesn't make Trump look like an idiot, a patsy, or a traitor.

his overgrown childishness, pettiness, bitterness. No sympathy for those that have helped him destroy this country.

So, I guess I'll vote for him still being: an idiot, a patsy, AND a traitor.

There are two ways of thinking about this... The fat, orange furball knew and committed treason, knowingly allowing American troops to be killed. OR - he was entirely incompetent and clueless, and showed horrifyingly poor judgement thinking Putin was anything like a friend.

I can't see where one makes him look better than the other. Crook or criminally incompetent is washed in the same blood.

It's just reflexive denials with no substance, no outrage, no indignation. It's like they're trading bingo chips.

When I hear that Trump said, "Nobody told or briefed me or VP Pence," my first thought is, "So? Now that you know, what are you going to do about it? You don't have a reaction other than to whine like a middle school kid who just got caught?"

10. And so now he knows about it, what will he do? How is he responding to Russia?

Apparently his response to Russia is to just whine that he didn't know about it.
