I do not care what any one says. It's bullshit telling me to go back to work in this mess. Every one
wear a mask and good luck. I want unemployment extend and here is why. Sue the govt's ass like Trump always does, I think we have a cases.
Experts, Progressive states, Doctors, Scientists all knew we should wait until middle of June, probably end of June. Then open. Trump started pushing in middle May and the protest and Gov and red states started rushing opening and all the self righteous of the right, can't breathe, Mother day weekend, Memorial Day, Trump mocking reporters that wore them and telling them to take off, going into business without wearing when it was rule for everyone to wear. Trump and the Republicans created this. And they are telling me to go out and earn a paycheck of 1300 a month. While making mask wearing as hard as possible, the only thing that will help me. No. They created this, literally. They cannot make me walk into this spike. And they owe me with their greed and stupidity and ineptness. When they start smartening up, being responsible, then I will consider going out and about and back to work. Unemployment end the end of July. It needs to be extended until we see the Govt actually doing what we all know it needs to do to protect us, creating a safer working environment. Just like, the military should just sit down and do nothing, watching and waiting for trump to finally address Putin assassination money that he said nothing about because supposedly he did not know. Now he does. Still waiting Trump. And nothing. Almost a week 5 days), and Trump has said nothing to Putin, done nothing to Putin, does not even care about a bounty on military. We should have a nationwide sit in the month of Aug, watch the money flow stop. And we all know how to do it, having done it in April, part of May. Really that is all, wasn't very long. Because it was well into March before most started. By middle May people were going nuts.

1. My job started up 2 weeks ago.
I have a 4 day weekend for the holiday, and I'm barely going out.
I feel fairly safe at my job, because people are wearing masks and socially distancing. BUT the numbers in my county are going up. They are higher then when this started in March. The unemployment extra of $600 week ends in July. So nobody is going to stay home unless they have a job that allows them to. And many people do not. Protect your life, LizBeth. Do the right thing. |

4. My bosses like me, lots. And seem to get it. They asked me to come back last week, it is an hotel.
I love the job, I love the bosses and I do a really good job. But they get 60 yr old working in a small nonventilated room for over 8 hours with 50-100 or more being in a small space isn't really smart.
So yea me. I told them I thought about it but with numbers spiking it would be stupid. And this week proved it out. You are right. Many of us are going to say no. Because it will be stupid to walk back in that. And it is going to hurt a lot of people. The Republicans literally created this for all of us to live. They literally created this unsafe work environment. |

2. No way I'm going back right now.
I worked for a major retailer until mid March and I was exposed to hundreds of customers a day.
At the moment I am trying to find work from home and have a few online projects in the works. Be safe everyone. Masks, wash, distance, repeat. ☮️ ![]() |

6. Exactly. It was not this bad in mid March and I told bosses I wanted some time out to see what was
going to happen, before people started staying home. I was willing to absorb the loss pay. But ya. Retail, 60, no way.

to WIPE out people because they are traitors.
GOP will intentionally NOT allow you to have stimulus so you can choose to live but starve or work and die. THAT IS what they are doing ON PURPOSE! I wish everyone could get that thru their thick heads, cons included, and go to the streets one day, 100 million of us and send the message, help us or else. |

I am poor, lol. I am feeling kinda lucky that even if I do not get extended unemployment, I can easily make it until Dec. If I must, I could go longer, just means I will not have it later when I will need it too.

19. I know.
And my gratitude knows no end.
I used to marvel at the timing of my life, how I hit the human LOTTO in terms of when & where I was born—boomer, USA. Civil rights, women's rights, a social safety net. But as this virus plays out, I realize I won bigger than I originally thought I had. I retired last year. If this virus had hit even ten years ago, I would be one facing issues without a paycheck. I tip all my shoppers & delivery people well. I know this doesn't make up for the impact this virus is going to have on their lives, though. ![]() |

13. What we really needed to do with this time people were outside, is implementing a lifestyle living
with this virus. So when we walk into winter and start shutting things up, we know what we are doing and have tightest ability to control. We didn't do that. Too smart, and thinking ahead. Republicans chose to go play. The little ants that do not do the work. Democrats do that. Or is it a grasshopper that plays, lol. I do not remember.

18. That is the reason the sunbelt is getting killed in summer.
We go outside in the autumn, winter and early spring. Once May hit here in Florida most people probably don’t spend 30 minutes a day outside the AC. Everyone is crammed in together now spreading it like crazy.

21. From what I've read the virus mainly spreads by extended indoor contact.
I feel way safer outside in the sun and breeze.
I’m still furloughed from work. The wife got called back last week. I worry about her because she is indoors most of the time. Our Company is doing a bang up job on keeping us safe. But all the precautions we take just limit the chance of spread it. Not eliminate. My job is mainly outside so I feel safer at work than at the grocery with everyone wearing a mask. Not that everyone does. I would expect our rates in Florida to keep going up, although the bars are closed again so that will help. |

I was able to work from home just outside San Antonio during April and May. My Trump loving bosses had me come back in a month ago. The attitude that the thing was over was palpable. Now, the situation locally is worse than at any time during our limited shutdown. I am still equipped to work from home and I am going to let them know that I won't be coming into the shop.

We all need to keep the pressure on Congress to extend unemployment benefits until they come up with a way to make work places safer.
