Anyone not receive your tax return yet? I sent them turbo April 2. I need check thru mail.
Right after I sent in my tax return in April I was reading that the stimulus was coming out and they were going to put refunds on hold. Then I read it might be Aug until I received my refund. I thought maybe after July 15 I would get mine and I still haven't. I received state 2-3 weeks after sending them in April 2.
My taxes are pretty straight forward so I can't imagine there is a problem with them and state had no problem. My son did them for me so I do not have the information to check on a site people have given me. Before I start nagging him, I thought I would ask if anyone else is in my situation. They are talking about sending out another stimulus and I am concerned that will put a halt to taxes again. Thanks.

1. Got Ours Months Ago
About 2 weeks after filing.
That was, though, before the COVID disaster hit. Maybe that has something to do with it. Fewer folks in the IRS offices? |

4. Ok. Thanks. Not good for you but good to hear I am not the only one. I have never had an issue
filing my returns in the past, and of course with Trump, after five decades, we are not receiving our money. I have the most taken out for that return. It is my money, I want it.

5. We filed March 15, no refund yet
We called the IRS last week, and after a couple of tries and an hour or more on hold, we finally got through to a nice woman who told us that the IRS has basically not been doing anything for the last few months because nobody has been in the office, which is why we had to wait so long to talk to someone. Anyway, they're hoping that come August 1 that they'll resume more-or-less normal operations at the IRS. Our return submitted on March 15 is probably very close to the front of the line, and the nice woman said it would be four to six weeks from August 1 for our return to be processed.
We'll see what happens. Luckily, we don't need the refund to stave off the wolf at the door. It's more than a little bit aggravating to see Republicans more fretful over someone getting ten bucks more on unemployment than they earn at their crummy minimum wage job, as if that's the biggest problem the country faces right now. |

couple hours trying to figure out how to get a hold of IRS. I appreciate your help and this allows me to not waste my sons time. I appreciate it and he does too, llol.

have as many people working so it's taking much longer than usual.
I got the pandemic stimulus before I received the refund. But I did recieve the state refund pretty fast like you did . |

We apply our refund, if any, to the next year's taxes. We farm. If we get a refund, it helps us meet our expenses this way.

29. Oregon it's always slower than the fed but it's only been less than 2 weeks now
For this year. They’ve only been doing it electronically the last couple years. But I don’t think it’s ever taken more than a month. They do something called a kicker wherein taxes are based on a 2 year budget and if they bring in more than they expected they “kick” a refund back. So because of that I should be getting money back this year.

27. Not meaning to scare you, but even if you mailed it you should have received your
return long before now. I would go ahead and put a tracer on it. I once didn't see mine come back for several months. When I traced it I found out someone had forged my name to the check and stolen the money. The IRS had to re-issue a replacement check. That probably hasn't happened to yours but my guess is that something has happened.

35. I used a different software package...after you transmit the return
you can check if the return was accepted. It usually takes a few hours or a day, but then the tax software can see that the return was accepted.
Sometimes, mu return wasn't accepted, so I had to change from e-file to paper file. |

34. Did you mail your tax return in to the IRS? Or file electronically?
If you mailed your taxes in April, the Tax Centers were closed and not processing returns because of coronavirus. I have a Trust and it requires a separate TurboTax program--which cannot be filed electronically--so I always have to mail that return, which I did in early April. I had to pay. The check was never cashed--presumably because the Tax Center where it was sent was closed--until late June.
If you mailed your taxes in early April, they are probably still working through the backlog of mailed in tax returns. And, in fact, that's what the IRS says on its website. Processing Delays for Paper Tax Returns
We continue to process electronic and paper tax returns, issue refunds, and accept payments. We’re experiencing delays in processing paper tax returns due to limited staffing. If you already filed a paper return, we will process it in the order we received it. Do not file a second tax return or call the IRS. https://www.irs.gov/refunds Here is the link to check the status of your refund. You will need your Social Security #, Filing Status, and EXACT amount of the refund shown on the tax return. If your son gave you a copy of the return (which he should) you can get all that information from the return. https://sa.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp |

I asked for it, he procrastinates, lol. I do not want to nag.
Anyway. I am thinking. I sent it to them electronically. I thought that might help but I asked they send a check. I wonder if that is the reason they put it aside. The people that cut the checks. I will get on it. Thanks. |

and a check. Of course they haven’t opened it and cashed the check yet. I imagine this huge backlog of paper returns. I’ll be surprised if they cash the check before September.

She was due a refund. She's still waiting.
I had to pay. They took it out of my bank account within an hour. I did read an article awhile back that said the IRS planned on paying interest on the delayed payments, so you should be getting a little more than what you're expecting. Eventually. |

42. Mine took 4 months.
Filed by mail in late February, direct deposit arrived with a little added interest in early July. Apparently a mountain of paper returns were/are way behind because IRS employees that process them were off due to pandemic.
