What to expect on Day 4 of Democratic convention: Joe Biden to accept nomination for president
Joe Biden is scheduled to accept the Democratic Party's nomination for president Thursday night, culminating political career that spanned 36 years in the Senate, eight years as vice president and two previous attempts at the nation's highest office.
Biden, who previously ran unsuccessfully for president in 1988 and 2008, is expected to recount his philosophy overcoming hardships including the deaths of his first wife and infant daughter in a 1972 car crash, and the death of his son Beau from a brain tumor in 2015.

DNC speeches will be broadcast from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET Monday through Thursday.
