TX-24: Candace Valenzuela on winning the Dallas suburbs for Democrats

For anyone confused about how Texas has seemingly developed into a swing state overnight, look no further than what is happening in the north suburbs of Dallas where Democratic congressional candidate Candace Valenzuela has launched her offensive.

Valenzuela spoke with the Signal on Friday about her campaign, the ongoing pandemic, its dire effects on Americans amid a stalled Senate response, and her district, which she has called home for several years and is among the many Republican suburbs in Texas undergoing a revolt against Trump.

Valenzuela said she gets an uneasy feeling in the pit of her stomach as she thinks about the similar stress millions of Americans are facing or will soon face.

“That sense of instability, even when you get a place to stay — we didn’t stay [in one place] for very long in large parts of my childhood — it really takes a toll on parents,” Valenzuela said, remembering her mother. And kids too, she added.

“Kids are always aware of how their parents are feeling, and they’re always aware of their living situation and that instability,” Valenzuela said.

Unfortunately, I can't vote for her. But she is the real deal. Even got the support of a tea bagger.

howdy do we have lots to share about her opponent. We lived in Irving while "Bethie" was mayor. She made it on the Tea Party slide. Everything Beth gets near dies hard! She lost the Cowboys, she lost the Byron Nelson Golf Classic that had been held forever at the 4 Seasons Resort in Irving. She held up/stopped/killed an entertainment complex for years and it's still struggling.
There was one time Bethie was stopped dead in her tracks. We stopped fracking in a Dallas golf course directly across the Trinity River from Irving's signature, million dollar park and a charter school that Bethie's own kids went to.
I know Beth well. I organized the charge to stop the fracking. The councilperson I was working with told me way back in 2013 that this was Beth's ambition and I know just some of the dirt.
Valenzuela is a breath of fresh air.
God hear our prayers and end Beth's career.
She is handled by a group and 1 specifically of millionaires with agendas.
Valenzuela deserves to win.

I talked to her for about half an hour, and we have followed up with email. I'm supporting her plenty this time.
