The Atlantic article is one giant, unyielding, unrelenting avalanche of shit. Trump is inhuman.

I don't know why the article hit me the way that it did. None of it was "unexpected." But to see it in print, I walked away asking how the hell any active Military member or Veteran could vote for this walking, talking piece of excrement.

Context, for those who have no idea of what I'm talking about: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/09/trump-americans-who-died-at-war-are-losers-and-suckers/615997/

shocked that everyone is acting shocked over the same thing we have known for 4 years as least. He has told us over and over and over how he feels about the military so why is everyone in disbelief? Did they not believe him the first thousand times he said the same thing? Did they think he "would change"? My dog knew he felt this way so why is anyone "shocked" or in "disbelief"?

It was horrifying then and SHOULD have disqualified him on the spot for the role of Commander in Chief. And yet his supporters overlooked this blatant disrespect for a wounded and captured military hero. I dare them to overlook this latest insult to all of the military both retired and currently serving. If they do and make excuses for him or deny it, they will deserve everything they get from this monster. The rest of us don’t deserve another four years of his sh*t.

MIAMI — The pregnant widow of a fallen U.S. soldier on Monday contradicted President Donald Trump’s account of his phone call about her husband’s death and said what he told her “made me cry even worse.”

Myeshia Johnson told ABC’s “Good Morning America” in an interview that Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson was practically a member of their family and was among a group of people listening to Trump’s call on a speaker phone as they drove to receive Sgt. La David Johnson’s body.

“The president said that he knew what he signed up for but it hurts anyway,” Johnson said. “And it made me cry because I was very angry at the tone of his voice and how he said it. He couldn’t remember my husband’s name. The only way he could remember my husband’s name was he told me he had my husband’s report in front of him and that’s when he actually said La David.”

Trump tweeted that Wilson “fabricated” his statement and the fight escalated through the week. Trump in other tweets called her “wacky” and accused her of “SECRETLY” listening to the phone call.

My family is full of vets...ww2. My mom's first husband, a West Point grad, was captured in the Philippines in 1942. He survived the Bataan death march and hideous prison camp conditions, and died on the Oryku Maru "hell ship", December 1944. My stepdad flew transport airships over the Himalayas. My mom was a captain in the Women's Army Corps. Her sister, my aunt, was a WASP pilot. My dad and uncle were military doctors in Europe. All of them were brave, decent people, and good citizens. Trump isn't worth the sweat off their backsides. In fact I can't even think of language that's derogatory enough.
