Going to be interesting to see the republicans in Congress defend trump on The Atlantic

article

I don't think it will be as simple as calling it a lie, since there are four first hand people who have witnessed it, let alone it is the same things he hurled a John McCain, and that is on tape

Those first hand accounts should really come forward if they are true patriots

Now would be the time also to bring up trump's silence on the Russian bounties on American soldiers, his silence on the Russian attack on an American convoy in Syria, and his silence on the poisoning of Putin's opponent

James LaPorta, investigative reporter for the Associated Press, talks with Rachel Maddow about his own reporting that confirms some of the episodes described in an Atlantic article depicting Donald Trump deriding military service and injured veterans.

They always do. Delay, delay, delay the reckoning and hope for a distraction.

Usually it works. Because with Trump there is always a new outrage, and then they pretend they haven't seen/heard that one, for as long as possible. Rinse and repeat.

"Anonymous sources! It's all a lie!"

"Reporter made it all up!

"Atlantic Monthly? I never heard of it!" (LOL... it was founded by Ralph Waldo Emerson before the Civil War... but then, these people never heard of him either.)

"He never said that! Why would he say that?"

"He loves the troops!"

"MAGA!"

Some of them will still be hanging halfway out of his ass, I'm sure. But not all of them.

"I think both sides need to be more civil."
"President Trump loves our military and has rebuilt it after Obama destroyed it."
"More lies from the liberal media."
"What about the time Obama saluted a marine while holding a coffee cup, or when Hillary murdered 100 US troops in Benghazi with her bare hands?"

And with that, they move forward as if nothing happened.
