Republican logic

They would rather stick with Trump and lose in a landslide and possibly wreck their Party, than to kick him to the curb and possibly save a little self-respect and viability for their Party, for the future.

If they are going to lose either way, you might think they would not want to go down smelling like a skunk?

Obviously, they do not know when to hold them and when to fold them.

They would prefer to go home with their pockets empty and not a modicum of respect.

them at this point. They could have asserted themselves early in the Covid-19 non-response by the faux President — even as late as April. They could have rebelled against his calls for “freedom” from the mask and shut downs. They could also have done so early in the George Floyd/BLM nationwide protests. They did not. Either of those things could potentially have rescued the party from it’s own rot and putrification in lock-step with tRump. It is way too late now. They are past the point of no return. Their only hope for survival is to somehow steal the election. They have no other alternative now. That’s what makes this election so dangerous.

very aware of any underhanded tricks that trump, barr, and the other republican scumbags can come up with, to attempt to throw off the elections in Nov. 2020. Biden is ready for anything, and processes a supreme self confidence that has been long missing in the Executive Branch for far too long. Go Biden!

They've spent 40 years developing a base of Captain Ahabs, yet they, the Republican pols, never actually deliver the White Whale. Trump promised Ahab the White Whale, and in the meantime Ahab likes how he pisses off the Greenpeace types.

Ahab won't blame Trump if the pols fold on him, they'll blame the pols.

Also, the pols are in another unhealthy relationship, one with people who are able--and willing--to share exceedingly uncomfortable, possibly illegal, personal information should they fold.

The path of least resistance for the pols is to do nothing, and consequences are something for later.

It's fitting that today is KY Derby Day because they are betting the entire farm on Trump.
