Tomorrow was supposedly Donnie D Day. Remember?

I remember it was reported breathlessly that if Donnie Dumbfuck hadn’t righted the ship of his campaign by Labor Day that Mitch Fuckface McTurtle was going to drop him and tell Senators to also abandon him and save themselves.

Also that if by Labor Day he wasn’t pulling even the GOP itself was going to flee him en mass.

Well?

What say you?

Will they really just say fuck it trump is a loser and we’re here for ourselves?

Or will they continue to kiss the ring and ass of the bloated swamp monster that is dooming them all?

So committed, and so otherwise unchangeable in their abilities, the current GOP will stay the course and privately fret but quietly be decommissioned in November.

McConnell can't do squat anymore. Pence runs the Senate now.

They can't turn on him now without looking like even bigger hypocrites than they are. They are hoping for a Trump Hail Mary or that he will become incapable of continuing. Trump having to withdraw from illness is their only hope in saving some degree of their reputations. Then there is always that hacking of the voting machines that has worked for them in the past.

Yeah... Some falsely deny that Trump is a republican...

Selected/nominated as a republican at the republican convention.
Ran as a republican.
Elected as a republican by the EC.
Acknowledged as the republican leader.

Certainly not an old style republican with morals, honor, ethics and integrity.
Those folks are gone.

But he's a republican.

Otherwise, it's a pretty big coincidence that this story came out when it did, giving Republicans a reason to turn away from Trump if they want to.

If McConnell decides to put the House bill up for vote or negotiates his own bill with the House, it will show that Congress may be breaking away from Trump.

Let's just say the Senate and House work out a compromise and overwhelmingly pass it. Is Trump really going to veto? Or would his hand be forced to sign?

I think that will tell us what's going on. If the Senate does nothing, they either think their majority is safe or they are all-in with Trump.
