I will tell him that in an industry full of giant assholes he is indisputably the king.
That is all.

(6,812 posts)He is at it again. Twisting, flipping, flopping any which way to show how tRump will win. Andrea bumbling, wide-eyed egging him on and on and on. Now tRump is whining about money, now law and order. Is it just me or is he becoming repetitively boring. I have them on as background noise while checking DU.

(11,949 posts)- he did not say Biden was a lock to win.
-he explained the ways trump could win.
The first is undeniable true. The second explains it what could drive the first.
If Im wrong I will apologize. Let me know.
I kind of like the guy. He is nerdy and focuses on the numbers. He is the best on election night.
But I respect that others disagree.
But this election is not in the bag. Even if there is no cheating. If we get out the vote we could win in what amounts in a landslide in todays time. But that is not guaranteed.

(1,351 posts)Because just reading his name I though Kornacki must be predicting a Trump win. Am I right?
Guys like Kornacki love to search for the most implausible, yet technically possible, routes to a Trump win and present them as some sort of smart analysis that others are missing.
RhodeIslandOne
(5,042 posts)But he's fond, like Nate Cohn, of saying "This should give Democrats pause" to seem like there's something going to break for Trump.

(23,323 posts)I can understand that he wants to make dry, dull numbers more exciting, but his histrionics are very distracting from that. I would prefer to see him be a little calmer, and use his voice inflections to get his information across.

(5,042 posts)He could just be honest and say the race isn't close right now, but the postal and COVID bullshit throws a wrench in all of it.
Trumpocalypse
(6,143 posts)He was one of the people in the media pushing it as a crime. One night he was guest hosting Hardball and David Corn was trying to state facts about the story, Kornaki got nasty and shut down the discussion because what Corn was saying didnt fit the anti- Clinton narrative Kornaki was pushing.

(2,678 posts)Some like Ari, Hayes, Rachel and Larry O get to play the hard style potential libs. Others play middle of road and Kornacki is the big board freak who always finds a sliver of hope for trump and his fans or doubt for Biden fans. Either way it's mostly a game. He can't stand up there for hours and tell everybody it's a blowout even when it is.
I really hate good television "Must see" horse race shit should have gone out the window when the 2000 election was stolen, when we really needed one, nobody was pounding away hard enough for Al Gore and they should have never stopped. When the courted decided an election and not a state, we were FFFFFFFFed and have never been the same since.
I doubt he really cares either way.

(13,776 posts)I love enthusiasm and I love nerdy enthusiasm.
I also think it's his job to analyze the numbers rather than just report them. Anchors and talking heads can talk about numbers, pure and simple, but it's his job to say "yeah, but there's more here than meets the eye." And if the "more here" shows that things look better for the GOP than the plain numbers themselves, it's his job to report it, whether we like it or not.

steve2470
(37,457 posts)1- From what I can tell, he is presenting the polls, whether we like the numbers or not
2- If he simply ignored any *possible* ways for Trump to win, that would be more like DNC TV
3- If anything, his less rosy scenarios for we Dems is GOOD for us! Right now, I am a tad concerned that some may get complacent and over-confident (despite the 2016 fiasco). I damn sure don't like *any* possible scenario for Trump to win, but I'd rather bear the discomfort NOW than deal with Dictator-wannabe back in the White House in January 2021.
Florida is too damn close for my comfort right now, and the polls I have seen (except maybe Michigan) put the Asshole-in-chief within striking distance if his deluded followers turn out in droves. GOTV for us is everything. If GOTV fails... we have the asshole again for 4 more years.
My 2 cents, so I guess we agree to disagree about him.
