And I probably won't last long if Social Security, Medicare and the Affordable Care Act go away, either. I'm a 70-year-old retired man, living on Social Security, University of Missouri pension and Medicare. I have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure, I had a mild stroke four years ago. I do not understand how ANY older person could support that reptilian orange thing in the White House.

9. Me too. I'll be 69 in a month. If all I have to live on is my life savings, I got 3-4 years max. I

live in California and every single penny of my SS check goes to my rent, and it still doesn't quite cover it.
I'm type2 also, and working every day til I drop, I can't live anything close to a "normal" but extremely frugal life without income.
I've had my own business closed now since April, it's getting crazy.

I get a bit frustrated when people here say things like that. In all honesty, Trump and the Republicans do not actively wish any of us dead. They just don't care very much.

People who are sufficiently math impaired might think that if enough old people die from the Corona Virus, it will have a positive impact on Medicare and Social Security, but that is extremely, extremely unlikely. There simply aren't likely to be anywhere near enough deaths.
