Canada doesn't allow corporations to make campaign contributions. Neither should we. Or at least limit the amount of dark money that gets contributed.

(12,265 posts)Almost all of the nasty ads against Kendra Horn here in Oklahoma are from super pacs. If you donate to a candidate it should be public knowledge. It is really important to know who is funding these awful ads.

The revolving door between congress-people and lobbyists needs to end, too.
Individual donations, with a cap.
No campaigning more than six months prior to the election.
No TV or radio ads until three months prior.
Public funds, and individual donations. No fancy bundlers. Perhaps the impact of the Lincoln Project and Rep. Voters against Trump will lead to some reversal of Citizens United, which opened the door to dark, foreign money.
