General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsDid you receive a post card from the US Post Office about voting? I did.
One side says,
"If you plan to vote by mail,
plan ahead."
Just like that and nothing more.
The other side provides five bullet points of information about voting options.
Wow, someone is woke at the post office.

(44,974 posts)Some states allow no excuse absentee voting, some don't. Usually you have to fill out an application and send it in.

(51,013 posts)You might have the following options.
1) Call county election board to send an application.
2) Go online and download the application, fill it out, and mail it to them.
3) Go online and fill out online form.
Whether those options are available depend on your state.

(my address)
One side is all about Absentee Vote including Postal Service recommends that you apply no later than October 19, 2020 (deadline is October 27, 2020) for an absentee ballot and it must be postmarked by November 3, 2020. However, the Postal Service recommends mailing voted absentee ballots no later than October 27, 2020.
The other side is all about Early Voting (with early voting hours and locations) and Election Day Polling Site info.
