Claiming it's a hoax and just denying it. Refusing to wear masks and continuing with the rallies .

The problem is Trump. I don't know why people think REPUBLICANS would have reacted differently .

They, meaning Trump's base, will never abandon him. The people that count as far as Woodward's book and the revelations he has now proven, I believe will have an effect on Independents, undecideds, and of course those who just did not like Hillary Clinton in 2016. Although Joe Biden has had his share of Critics on the right, he has not had to deal with 30 years of concentrated attacks, and lies that Hillary faced.
So of course "they" will continue to do the same thing. Those people that I mentioned above are not part of The cult of trump, and for the most part, should be open to considering the damning truth coming from Trump's own mouth.
