Signs and flags being replaced are hopeful.
But two things I can share with you.

We live in East TN....we live out in the country and drive about 4 miles to a highway. There is a house we pass which has had a U.S. flag and a Confederate flag on the same pole for years. We watched as the stars and bars got more ragged and were entertained. It was replaced by a yellow Don't Tread On Me flag for awhile. This week there are two different Trump flags on that pole.

At the top of the hill past there, there is a new Trump sign regularly in a yard. I think they are up to 5. Also one in support of our asshole state representative.

This is extreme East TN which did not really support the Confederacy...but these ignorant fools think they are rebels.

Used to wave at cars as we pass on the road...not doing that as much anymore.

1. As an East Tennessean, I completely agree.

They have no sense of the Union sympathizers in this area during the Civil War. Of course, the ignorance around here is rampant. It gets so frustrating seeing the Trump signs and signs for Diana Hershberger. Yuck.

4. The pocket of East TN I live in...

doesn't seem to be very demonstrative about politics and I am grateful for that. Of course that means there aren't Biden signs either. There are some pockets of Trump signs around the county but nowhere as bad as some areas I've seen.

5. I live in Blount County.

You see signs for Democrats in Maryville. Not as many Trump signs as before but they are mostly out in the county.
